FIREARM COURSES
- Basic Firearms Safety and Handling – A complete overview of firearm rules and safety while on the range, the teaching of safe practices and handling of firearms, a cursory review of different types of firearms (student choice) and their actions as well as hands on safe loading and unloading using non-live ammunition. Ammunition – How to identify different types of ammunition, and what is and is not allowed to be used on the range. We will also talk about potential malfunctions or jams and discuss how to safely resolve them. Once students are confident and comfortable with safely handling the firearm, we will progress to live fire exercises where students can practice aiming, marksmanship and how to deal with recoil.
- Firearm selection and fitting for the student – Hands-on experience and live fire testing for students to choose a firearm platform that best fits the client (window shopping only goes so far)
- Advanced 1:1 instruction on individual platforms Rifle/Shotgun/Pistol – (customized training beyond basic skills)
- Custom Instruction – Special focus training as well as special adaptation needs while shooting
- CCW Preparation – Review and train in the use of holsters, concealment, draw stroke, reloading, firearms and equipment preparation for CCW application and qualification
- Firearms Safety Certification – can be added to any class or handled individually by appointment (Required to purchase a firearm in California – good for 5 years)

RANGE / TRAINING
Due to the nature of firearms training, DHS and CAL DOJ require all training participants to be US Citizens or Lawful Permanent Residents of the US.
In addition, participants MUST NOT be prohibited from owning, using, or possessing firearms or ammunition in the United States.
